- Do athletes get my inquiry even if they haven’t opted into brand discovery?
- No. Athletes control discoverability by audience — agents, brands, clubs — each separately, and all off by default. Your inquiries only reach athletes who have explicitly opted into brand discovery, which keeps the inbox they see high-signal.
- How does brand verification work?
- Brands verify legal entity, operating history, and the team members who will be contacting athletes. Verification is visible to athletes on every inquiry you send and materially improves reply rates.
- Can I reach minor athletes directly?
- No. Inquiries to under-18 athletes route to the managing parent or guardian as the recipient. The athlete never sees a brand message without a parent gate until they turn 18 and claim their own account.
- Is there a cap on inquiries per month?
- The default plan has a monthly cap sized to typical marketing-team workloads. Higher volumes for campaigns and always-on programs are handled on the custom plan — tell us about your campaign rhythm and we’ll size it.
- Does AthleteVault take a cut of brand deals?
- No. We don’t broker the deal or sit between the payment. You pay for the workspace; the commercial terms stay between you and the athlete (or their agency if they’re represented).
- Can our agency of record use the account on our behalf?
- Yes. Invite them as seats on your brand workspace with scoped permissions — discovery-only, inquiry-drafting, or full inbox access. The audit log captures which seat acted, so accountability survives an agency change.
- What data do I get on a signed deal?
- Every inquiry, response, scope change, and status update is logged and exportable. If a partnership is audited — internally or externally — you have a fact-checkable trail instead of scattered emails.
